Before you visit us, we invite you to check out this review. We'll discuss the vehicle's performance specs, interior amenities, and safety features, so you're a more well-informed driver.

Toyota Highlander Performance

The Highlander is built to take you where you want to go. The 4-cylinder engine, which is the base engine, produces 185 horsepower. This edition of the Highlander handles the daily errands and drives around town well. However, if more power is what you desire, stepping up to the available 3.5L V6 engine may be a good idea. The V6 is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and capable of maximizing acceleration and fuel economy.

When the roads become treacherous, the Toyota Highlander is able to embrace the challenge, thanks to the dynamic all-wheel drive. Engine power is distributed from front to back, with the braking system managed from side to side, offering you better control. If you can't contain your adventures to just inside the vehicle, that's okay. The Highlander is able to tow up to 5,000 pounds, so you can bring that trailer or boat along for vacation.

3rd Row Seating and More

Larger families will soon come to appreciate what the Highlander is capable of. This Toyota SUV can handle either seven or eight passengers depending on the seating setup. As you head up the available trim levels, leather seating becomes standard. On cold days, the available heated leather seats come in handy - they'll warm you up quickly.

Space is never wasted inside the cabin. The rear suspension was designed to provide more space in the cargo area for luggage, grocery bags, and even pieces of furniture. The 60/40 split third-row seat can be folded flat and recline. Hands full? The optional power liftgate is easy to use and intuitive. Just wave your foot in front of the rear bumper and the cargo area will open up for simplified loading in.

Toyota Safety Sense™ P: Protection Personified

It's important to feel safe in the car you're driving. You certainly will in the Toyota Highlander, with Toyota Safety Sense™ P. Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist is part of this suite of active safety features. Detecting lane departure on roads with clear markings, this system will activate when traveling 32 MPH or faster. The system may make corrective steering inputs if needed.

This suite also includes the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection. An in-vehicle camera and radar can detect a car or pedestrian in front of you to help in avoiding a possible collision. If the brakes aren't pressed in time, they may be applied automatically to reduce speed.
