The Toyota lineup includes a pair of capable pickup trucks, the Toyota Tacoma and Toyota Tundra. These highly capable trucks are built for adventure, and they're available for drivers near Ithaca, Corning, and Binghamton at Maguire Toyota.
Our sales team is here to highlight some of the key features in each, so you know a bit more about them.
Tow-Ready
The Tacoma features a Class-IV towing hitch receiver on all trims, with 4- and 7-pin connector and Trailer-Sway Control technology. It carries a towing capacity of up to 6,400 pounds. The rugged bed features a Sheet-Molded Composite surface with greater impact strength than steel. The bed comes standard with a deck rail system, with tie-down cleats to bring a bike along for a weekend getaway.
When properly equipped, the Toyota Tundra can tow up to 10,200 pounds, with its available V8 engine leading the way. The combination meter, which includes voltmeter, coolant temperature, and fuel and engine oil pressure gauges, helps keep a close eye on Tundra vital signs. The TOW/HAUL Mode activates to keep the Tundra in the right gear when towing, so it's not hunting for that next gear when it's not needed.
Toyota Safety Sense™ P
Standard Toyota Safety Sense™ P exists to protect you on each drive. This suite of active safety features is designed with the driver in mind. It includes the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, which uses an in-vehicle camera and radar to detect another vehicle or pedestrian up ahead. If you aren't able to react in time, brake force will be applied to reduce speed.
Lane Departure Alert with Sway Warning System can detect lane departure when traveling at speeds of 32 MPH or faster. If you see and hear the alert, safely direct the Tundra or Tacoma back to the lane.
TRD Pro
Take it to the limit with either the Tacoma TRD Pro or Tundra TRD Pro. When an off-roading adventure is what you desire, you'll be able to do it with TRD Pro technology.
The Tacoma TRD Pro stands out with its blacked-out hood scoop and unique badging, with the available Desert Air Intake helping to keep the engine cool on dusty trails. Standard Multi-terrain Select, Crawl Control, and Hill Start Assist Control technologies can tackle difficult terrains. The electronically controlled rear differential puts power where it needs to be, so you can take on snow, dirt, mud, and more.
The Tundra TRD Pro has aggressive styling, along with capable fog lights and 18-inch aluminum TRD wheels, ready to take on dirt and mud. Tundra TRD Pro features tuned dual exhaust, with black chrome exhaust tips, and a powerful 5.7L V8 engine. This edition of the Tundra can tow up to 9,200 pounds.
